Rates

Kindle Counseling’s private-pay rates reflect the therapist’s extensive education, training, licensure, certification, and experience as well as the dedicated time commitment, during and outside of appointments, allotted for clients. Outside of client appointment time, Kindle Counseling therapists plan and prepare for each appointment as well as maintain the required secure documentation and treatment plan for each client. These rates are set to ensure that high-quality services, which meet the unique needs of every individual, are provided.

While Kindle Counseling does not accept insurance for many reasons, a “superbill” can be provided for clients to submit to their insurance company and request out-of-network or partial reimbursement.

At Kindle Counseling, we understand that life can be unpredictable and sometimes circumstances change. That is why we have implemented a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we kindly request that you notify us via phone or the client portal at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client and fosters a therapeutic relationship built on trust and mutual respect.

No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act is a federal law that went into effect on January 1, 2022 and was designed to protect consumers from receiving unexpected healthcare bills. It requires healthcare professionals to provide, both orally and in writing, a "good faith estimate" (GFE) , upon request or at the time of scheduling, to uninsured and private-pay clients with the goal of ensuring clients are aware of potential costs related to services. This legislation aims to promote transparency and ensure that individuals seeking services are well-informed about the financial aspects of their treatment. The GFE is not a bill, nor a contract obligating a client to obtain any of the estimated services. Please read the “Good Faith Estimate Notice” below for more information.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

• If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.

•Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
