What to Expect
Kindle Counseling provides compassionate and evidence-based counseling services that cater to the unique needs and goals of each individual. Our highly trained and experienced therapists are dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space, where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. The journey begins with a complementary 15-minute phone or telehealth conversation, which allows time for information exchange, answering questions, and an assessment of a good client-therapist fit. You can schedule this appointment by calling the office at 346-527-8911 or by clicking the “Request Appointment” button on the Contact page.
After the complementary 15-minute conversation and a determination of an appropriate client-therapist fit, an intake appointment is scheduled. During an intake appointment, current circumstances and concerns are discussed and an initial clinical assessment is conducted. The therapist will start where the client is and draw from counseling theories and techniques and suggest a plan of action to the client, who will provide feedback and input. The client and therapist will work together to devise an appropriate treatment plan to be followed and adjusted as necessary.
Therapy sessions are scheduled at an agreed upon frequency determined to be appropriate for each client's specific needs and desires. Kindle Counseling believes client therapeutic homework is an important part of the therapeutic process and provides “homework” as appropriate and according to the client's willingness and desire to participate.
